Weird green business idea – garbage in a gift wrap
How do you imagine a really exclusive gift? Gold and diamonds, furs and silk? Well, yes, such gift are really exclusive. But nowadays, when business is going green and modesty is at the height of fashion, the understanding of exclusiveness has also evolved. Now an exclusive gift is not necessarily expensive: it can be relatively cheap, but unusual and creative. And if it’s produced by a socially responsible company or is made out of recycled materials, then it’s definitely exclusive and trendy!
Justin Gignac, designer from NYC, started a successful business on recycling garbage and turning it into unique pieces of art. Within the project „Urban collection” Justin creates a harmonic composition using plastic cups, old CDs, packaging etc., pack them in „gift wrap”, sign and sell for $50 — $100. Of course there’s no practical use for such gifts, but people who buy them are happy to be a part of such environmental friendly project.
The main advantage of this unusual business is that it doesn’t require any investments at all and you can start your own business from zero without money, using only your creativity and imaginations!
