Wedding business niche idea
November 10th, 2009

How do you imagine the Big Day of your wedding? Probably we all see more or less similar picture: bride in white, groom in black suit, smiling guests and a big fancy cake in the middle of the table. But we all know that price for special occasion cakes are sky-high and this sum can be spent for something much more useful.
Well, now this is no longer a problem! American company FunCakes rent fake cakes made of foam, but covered in real fondant to make it look like a real culinary chef d’oeuvre! There’s a special compartment on the cake to store a edible piece of real cake for the bride and groom to feed. Then the display cake is taken back into the kitchen and the guests are served regular sheet cake from a local bakery or wholesale store.
Seems like a perfect unusual idea for a small niche business. Especially in times of economic crisis. By the way, if you are already in a wedding related business, then just add such service as “fake cake” to your list of services to attract more clients.

Great idea! Thanks. And I’m positive there still isn’t much competition in that area.
