Business niche idea: sentimental keepsakes
October 12th, 2009

What is the basic wish of anyone who had ever experienced a death of a close friend, relative or beloved one? To remember this person and to have something that would remind you of those moments spent together. Photos, memorable gifts or even a tatoo can serve as such souvenirs. But there is a company who offer absolutely unique service – to encapsulate the ashes of the person who passed away.
Sentimental Connections is a company that have chosen an unusual business niche on funeral business market. When cremation is over just send them some ashes and they will encapsulate them in clear polymer that can be formed into a picture frame, pendant, bracelet or any other souvenir. Nick Cranham, the founder of Sentimental Connections, says that a highly personalized memorial keepsake can be very comforting to those mourning the loss of a loved one.
I have no information on company’s financial situation, but I’m absolutely sure that such business niche idea is successful. First of all, because the idea of such special keepsake is really catchy. Besides, funeral market all in all is quiet profitable: the shock you experience when losing someone you love is too big to be reasonable in expenses.
