Low budget start for your hotel business
Nowadays international tourism is going through hard times and hotels have to be very creative to attract customers. In such situation unusual marketing tricks is exactly what they need!
Dutch hotel chain La Bergere opens a new hotel in Maastricht. The concept of „Hotel X” is to make a homey and stylish place by decorating the whole building with furniture, bought from ordinary consumers. Hoteliers offered everyone to take a look at their attics and sell them unused furniture and accessories.
That’s a great example of how to decorate the hotel with minimal expenses, yet create a unique style and attract customers, who’ll be simply curious to spend a night at such unusual hotel. Besides, thus hoteliers give consumers a possibility to earn some extra cash in times of economic crisis. I would even call this a green business idea, because instead of buying new furniture (and production of furniture requires a lot of energy, materials etc.) La Bergere takes what have already been produced and is not in use.
