If your business, either ordinary or unusual, is based on selling goods or services, then unusual marketing strategy is your only hope in times of world economic crisis. Pieter Walser from South Africa from Walser Wine Projects achieved business success using absolutely fabulous low budget marketing idea. Read more and think whether you can use something similar in your business!
Mr. Walser showed real creativity promoting his wines: wine is sold in simple bottles with blank label. There is no information on the sort of wine, it’s age or taste, only 2 words – Blank Bottle which is the brand. Clients can choose between red and white wine, but its taste will come as surprise, which is an additional attraction as you can both enjoy your drink and have fun, making suppositions about what sorts of grapes were used and what’s the year of production.
Walser Wine Projects have clients all other the world and they are both individual customers and hotels and restaurants. The setting of price was also a very creative moment: Pieter have send 50 bottle of his wine to 50 clients and asked them how much they would pay for this product. The average sum was about 7.5 USD which now is the official selling price.
The idea of selling a product with unknown content as well as price formation according to customers’ opinion are not innovative, but Mr. Walser was the first to use them in wine business. Maybe you should be the first to use these principals in other business fields?
