Unusual business ideas: get yourself noticed!

The hardest thing about being a small entrepreneur and trying to base your business on an unusual business idea is to find investors and supporters. Investors usually tend to avoid high risks by sponsoring more traditional projects with clear perspectives while unusual business always imply a certain hazard to lose money. All this makes it’s extremely hard to find someone who’ll appreciate your idea and will be ready to support you and give your business a good start.
Yesterday Springwise.com announced that from now on this problem is partially solved thanks one of the world’s most famous entrepreneurs Richard Branson. Virgin Atlantic’s recently launched a new project to support innovative business plans – PitchTV. Entrepreneurs pitch their ideas to the world in video format, uploading the videos to Virgin’s website, where the online community can view and rate their idea.
Videos rotate on a monthly basis, and those with the most votes will be shown on Virgin Atlantic’s in-flight entertainment service. The aim is for the airline’s business passengers to watch the videos, contacting the entrepreneurs behind the ideas that take their fancy to help them develop the idea. Branson claims it’s a unique way of giving the world’s top business professionals access to fresh ideas and new ventures and I guess he’s 100% right!
So, if you’re one of those trail-blazers trying to promote an unusual business idea – don’t lose the chance to get yourself noticed!
P.s. By the way I also took a chance and get myself noticed by writing a guest post on WomanTribune. Hope this debut will not be the end of my guest blogger’s carrer!:)
