Small business idea: mobile laundry service
A lot of USA regions regularly suffer from all kind of nature disasters: floods, forest fires, hurricanes etc. On one hand it’s an awful life-threating experience for local citizens, on the other – a worthy chance to earn extra cash.
In 2008 Morgan Dresser and Moani Mundo, ex fire-fighters, founded a company named Mo-bile Suds Laundry Service that offer laundry to people who lost their homes and are temporarily deprived of all modern conveniences. Mo-bile Suds Laundry Service is in fact a 40 foot trailer pulled by a Ford Semi Truck equipped with 10 washers and 10 dryers. Trailer is fully autonomous and in one hour company’s team can wash up to 200 kg of laundry.
Mo-bile Suds Laundry Service has already proved its efficiency in Louisiana during hurricane Gustav. Laundry’s services in case of national incidents are free of charge for victims and are paid by government. This mean’s that Morgan’s and Moani’s business idea is not only commercially successful, but also highly social. Great combination, great results and good perspectives!
