Same as freelancers are getting together to rent and share a working space, young moms are searching for a place to spend their time with other women and their offspring, relax and share experience. And if you are planning to start a home based business with minimal investments, then opening such mom’s club at your own apartment or house would be a pretty keen idea.
There are already mom’s clubs like Maggie & Rose in Kensington (UK) and Cupcake Mom in Wandsworth (UK) who successfully work in this niche and if the idea of such business seems attractive to you, then just use their experience to start your own high profit business.
Maggie & Rose club features several play areas and offers children’s lessons in art, cooking, dance and more, as well as a weekend movie club and birthday party services. Parents are catered to with a comfortable and quiet cafe, as well as seminars and access to a family advisory service. Membership in this club costs GBP 500 per year.
Cupcake Mom club also aims to provide a grown-up but child-friendly environment. Its focus, however, is mainly on pregnant women and young moms that’s why in addition to an organic cafe, Cupcake also offers personal trainers and spa treatment. Membership in this club is GBP 149 per month. This company was founded by Karen Hastings, an American who lives in London and is backed by Trapezia Capital, a UK venture fund that solely invests in women-led businesses.
I’m absolutely sure, that UK moms (and dads) aren’t the only parents who would gladly pay for access to a being space, a community of peers and the opportunity for some pampered me-time. Entrepreneurs across the world: start planning!
