When I surf the web for new ideas for my posts, I often stumble upon some really interesting article about all kind of odd and bizarre things. Unfortunately, my blog is dedicated only to business stuff and I always had to leave them behind.
But today I finally decided that these materials are worth being published and opened this new category – „Bizarre/Oddities” where I’ll post all those funny facts that don’t suit in any of other categories.
Nearly every modern company has economists, lawyers or engineers in their establishment. Nowadays these professions are among most popular. But where should you search for a well-paid job if you are an „ant catcher” or „egg broker”? Here is a list of 15 most bizarre professions of all times!
1. Dream dealer
Bank clerk dreams about acting on Broadway, businessman dreams to try to steer a ship, psychiatrist dreams of dating with 20 girls from 20 different countries in 20 days of his holidays… What should they do to make their dreams come true? A company from Chicago is specializing in realization of dreams. All you need to do is to come to their office, tell about your dream and pay the cheque which usually is $150 000 and more.
2. Balls pickup-er
You can find such vacancies in big golf-clubs. Main duty of a „ball pickuper” is to clean all the surroundings from golf balls which can occasionally get there.
3. Ant catcher
An ant catcher has to catch the biggest and strongest ants in the ant hills and bring them to the ant farms where scientists will study them and breed new strains.
4. Brain extractor
Brain extractors work in slaughter-houses and his official duty is to take out brain from the skull of a killed animal and prepare it for sending to the restaurants.
5. Smeller (Deodorant tester)
This vacancy usually opens in companies which produce deodorants because “smeller” is a person who tests the new deodorants.
6. Fire observer
These specialists sit on the top of the observation towers in American National parks and watch for signs of a fire in the district.
7. Queen guardian
The so called „queen guardian” look after a bee queen and takes cares of her nutrition.
8. Egg broker
The main duty of this person is to separate the white from the yolt.
9. Operator, which determines the gender of newly born chickens
It’s a very responsible job as such person has to determine the gender of newly born chicken within 1 day as it will effect their nutrition.
10. Wrinkle straightener
High class boutiques sometimes hire people, who straighten the wrinkles on the leather shoes after customers have tried them on.

Dear Shane and Ash, I’m afraid I won’t be able to help you as I’ve found this information on the web and the names of the companies were not written in that article.
I think that those proffessions are on my top ten of strange jobs.
Two more.
Flashlight waver. So crop dusters don’t fly into electrical wires when they cropdust at night.
Baloon chaser. Drive a van, following a large balloon with people to where ever it lands.
Oh, wow, really weird! WIll be on 1st and 2nd place if I decide to make another top of bizarre professions one day.
