Unusual business idea from Moscow
February 3rd, 2008
Today 30 year old guy from Moscow named Anton Ilyenko is just an average citizen, a small entrepreneur. His company has only 10 employees and was founded some few years ago. Nethertheless Anton is confident that in few years his name will appear in Forbes List of Billionaires.
Ilyenko started to develop his own business in 2005 and the service that he offers in the market is totally unique - ceremonial destruction of personal things. We all have some favourite personal things like cashmere coat, that seems to bring you good luck or elegant shoes which were bought in Paris during your honeymoon trip. It can also be a musical centre or leather bag. Doesn’t matter what it is, the fact is that this is a great thing, which did a good job for you. Unfortunately nothing is eternal and you have to say “good bye” even to the most beloved things when their warranty life comes to an end. Anton’s company helps you to make this “good bye” nice and decent.
Viability of this idea was proved by company’s first clients. One of the first clients was a top-manager of big international company Alexander who decided to arrange a ceremonial destruction of his favourite Versace jacket. He told to Andrey that even a thought of simply throwing this jacket to the waist basket made him sick. The other client, Tatyana, came to the company to say “good bye” to the shoes that her Mom presented her for the graduation ball.
Anton’s company offer different ways of farewell ceremonies - starting from traditional burring and cremation till exotic ceremonies, like sending your things to the outer space on board of satellite MyThings-SAT. The cost of such ceremonies ranges from 1.5 till hundred thousands dollars.
As far as I know such company exists only in Russia, so you can be the first one to start this business in your country!
