pinball machine

It is well known that anything can become popular if there is a certain shortage of this good or service on the market. Business society uses this rule for a long time already and a good example of the efficiency of thus rule is, for instance, Birkin bag by Hermes. If you could buy it in any boutique, it would never become such an essential accessory for any young wealthy lady. Same happens with antiques – the harder it is to find something, the more it costs.

There is also another factor that can boost the popularity of your product or service – nostalgia. When you are becoming older and start to reflect about the years that have passed, it seems that everything was better in those days: food was tastier, weather was better, people were friendlier, movies were much more fascinating etc.

Each of these factors is able to boost sales, but their combination gives truly fantastic results! And recently I’ve came across an interesting idea of how to start a high profit low budget business based on this concept.

Surfing the web I found a web page of a guy named Michael Schiesse (http://www.ujuju.com/) who collects old pinball machines like 4 Million BC, Klondaike, Night Rider and others. It’s not easy to find those machines in our days, but at the same time if you find one, it won’t cost you a lot. On e-bay you can buy Volley machine for only $86!

As far as I understood Michael buys them for his private collection, but I’m sure that he could make a successful business out of this hobby. A lot people would be happy to pay for the possibility to return to the days of their youth and have a great fun playing these antique machines.

There already are such game rooms in Russia and their popularity is really high. It’s definitely time to make something similar in US and Europe!
